Better Living Through Scrapbooking Bucket List Mini Album

Create a layout or mini-album about the items on your “bucket list” (things you want to do or see before you “kick the bucket”).
Choose at least 2 of the following:

1. Use only scraps of paper from your scrap paper collection in the album.
2. Use photos printed from a royalty-free photo website such as Stock Xchange to represent the items in your album from your “bucket list”.
3. Use color mist such as Tattered Angels, walnut ink spray, or your own homemade color spray to add some color to your mini-album pages.
4. On the cover of your mini-book, use various rub-ons for the title.”

25 Things 2 do
I've only done a few mini albums in the past but I really enjoy putting them together. This one was no different. I used a great album by our sponsor Punky Sprouts, this one is the Rebel Sprout..and a rebel it is. Each page is a different size and shape as well as 3 different materials; acrylic, canvas and chipboard.
Sitting down to write out a Bucket List was really fun in itself, I've never written one out before. It made me think hard about the things that are important to me.
For this challenge I chose to use items #2 Use photos printed from a royalty-free photo website and #3 Use color mist. Three bugs in a Rug is one of my favorite paper lines and I was happy to be using this collection. The images I used are from a royalty-free website, Dreamstime. Those along with lots of my own handwriting make this album special.

I chose to use the small acrylic page as my front cover, some letter stickers, a handmade flower, chipboard button and glimmer mist completes the cover page.

I used lots and lots of glimmer mist on this chipboard page, an adorable stamp from For the Luv of Art, and another handmade flower with the chipboard button center.

When you untie that black bow this cute matchbook opens to reveal the first five things on my list. I learned how to make this matchbook by watching THIS tutorial.

Working with canvas was new for me, but I really liked it. As you can see, the banner stamp shows up again and is a theme tying each page in the album numbering the items on my list.

Each of those pockets holds tags that list the next five things on my list.

Several mini cards fit perfectly on this large canvas page.

Stamping with StazOn ink worked really well on this acrylic page and it highlights a large hand cut heart symbolizing that I need to learn to love myself.

This final page shows the last five things on my list. The adorable house button from our sponsor Charlene's Button Box represents my desire to see my house appreciate in value and be able to sell it someday!

  6. You know how much I absolutely ADORE all of your mini's... and this one is no exception. You did a fabulous job and I just love how you used the banner throughout the whole mini. Even though all the pages were different shapes and textures, you brought it all together beautifully.

  7. Great mini Kristina! This looks like such a fun project! I will have to do one of these when I have more time (after the move!)! This would be fun to do as a new year's project for things you want to do for the year! :)
