For this layout I used a technique that Jennifer McGuire showed on her blog. It shows 3 different ways to use paint and one of the ways was to stamp with it. That's what I did here. I stamped a border on the brown background with cream paint. I also used the same stamp to do a border on the cream cardstock with blue paint. The mat behind the photo was stamped cream on cream and then inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I also painted the rose as well as stamp the "I DO".
Here is an up close shot of the boutonniere that I re-created. I had saved it from the wedding, Rick was the best man, and the real rose had dried out. I clipped it off and replaced it with a paper one. I added some feathers to the background on top of this plastic doily.
I hope you give stamping with your paints a try, it was tons of fun!!

ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Kristina... funny, just last night I tried stamping with paint on Kraft Cardstock (working on Christmas Cards) and I couldn't get it to turn out ... the stamping was really uneven... I'm going to have to check out the link. At any rate, I love how you recreated the boutonniere! That was very clever! This is one of your most beautiful creations yet and your stamping with paint turned out PEFERECTLY. I hope the Bride and Groom get to see this!
ReplyDeleteThis turned out just beautifully Kristina! I love the stamping with the paint. It really adds so much to the page. Gorgeous! Hugs!
