It's Monday again and that means it's time for another challenge at ScrapTiffany. This week Tiffany has said "Use Your Scraps".
I decided to go with a card for this one. I always like to try and use up my scraps on cards. I totally lifted this card idea from the Stampin Up 2010 -2011 Idea Book & Catalog. You can see their version on page 73.
I've had this stamp set for quite some time because I HAD TO HAVE IT and this is the first time I have used it...lol I got to practice coloring with my Copic markers, which was fun. I still have so much to learn about light source and shadowing...oh well, practice practice.
I used glossy accents on the truck windows, hub caps, and a few of the hearts, but you can't really see that in the pictures. I really like how my version of this card turned out and I hope you do too!
Have a great day!
Interested in what I used?
Here's the list:
DP - SU! Sweet Pea
Cardstock - SU! Rose Red, Old Olive and GP White
Stamp - SU! Loads of Love
Twine - from my stash
Ribbon - SU! Old Olive
Buttons - SU! Designer Brights Collection (LOVE THESE!)

Love your card! I have been eying that stamp set in the Stampin Up catalog, but keep telling myself it's too intimidating. Love what you did with it!

ReplyDeleteCute card Kristina! I used that stamp set once, (Erin's MIL has it)... it's such a fun set...and so "cute" that I can't imagine why you wouldn't have used it til now... :-) I think your coloring looks great too!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable, Kristina! I so remember that adorable Stampin'Up set. Really love how you used it here. The small touches of glossy accents is just perfect for that truck.
ReplyDeleteLove the sound of your weekend adventures. That enchilada festival sounds right up my alley. Do you have any photos to share?
Hi Kristina,
ReplyDeleteI have far too many of those "Had to have it!" sets that have never been inked. Your card is perfect! I love all the little details, the 2 stitches, 3 buttons, and the little tag. Great card!
:) Janice
