Papercraft Star Challenge 24

Papercraft Star Challenge 24
"Green Holiday"
Create an altered holiday gift, card or scrapbook layout using recycled or repurposed items you already have on hand.

I can do that!

This card could not have come together more easily. Before I sat down to do some crafting I had to do a major cleaning job in my craft room, it looked like a bomb had gone off in there! Cleaning my room gave me quite a few peeks at what I had lying around. When I thought about what I could recycle or reuse I knew I wanted to use some scraps from my new Echo Park Wintertime paper pack, and then it hit me. You know the decorative cover sheet they include in the paper packs so you can see what patterns are inside? Well, why not cut that up and use it? That's exactly what I did. Add that with a few of the element stickers, a couple of snowflakes left over from last year and some faux stitching and you've got yourself a cute winter card. The best part, my paper pack was packaged with 2 of those cover sheets in error and now I can make another card to match, lucky me!

Why don't you join me for this fun and easy challenge at Papercraft Star! You have until Noon (eastern) on Saturday to get your project linked up before the voting begins. And, take a look at what you could win!

The first place winner will receive this adorable Gingerbread Man Kit from our sponsor the Purple Pumkin.

  9. What a great card, Kristina!! I was thinking to myself how much I loved all the strips of patterned paper, then read your comment on using that packing sheet. What a fabulous idea! Love the faux stitching and the snowflakes, and those trees are wonderful, too.
