I think someone was trying to punish me!
With all of the running around for the Holidays, the dogs got left home quite a bit. The day after Christmas my husband and I met some friends for breakfast. We headed home with plans to "clean up Christmas". As we came in through the garage and headed up the stairs to the kitchen this is what I found in my daycare room. Ummm, I think someone forgot to close the bathroom door...(ahem...me) and little Miss. Piper found a new toy. Guess it was a good thing that we already had a "clean up" kinda attitude when we came home. I found it hilarious, uummm Rick not so much. When I looked at Piper and asked her if she did this, she hung her head and started for the doggie door.

2010
As 2010 comes to an end, so does my term as a designer for ScrapTiffany. It has been such a great experience for me and I really think my "craftiness" has come a long way in the last 6 months. Thank you Tiffany for having me as a member of your team, it's been great!
This last prompt from Tiffany is "2010". As you know by now, I recently picked up the My Digital Studio from Stampin Up and this was my very first attempt. I followed a sketch from Becky Fleck's Page Maps (page 36).

So many wonderful things came along with 2010 and I look forward to seeing what 2011 has to offer!
I hope you all had a Very Merry Christmas and I wish you great things and a Happy New Year!

Guys Weekend
If you are looking for the Papercraft Star Christmas Blog Hop, click HERE
It was Girl Power last week at ScrapTiffany, this week it's All About Boys!
I always struggle with masculine layouts and cards, but I really like how this layout turned out.
This layout is all about one of my husband's Guy Weekends. The boys love taking their KLR's up into the mountains to ride and camp out. Basic Grey's Max & Whiskers is a great paper line for masculine layouts, I've used it for my son too. I got to play with my new toy, the Tiny Attacher by Tim Holtz..gee I love that thing. Why did I wait so long to buy one, I have no idea.
You can join in the fun at ScrapTiffany by emailing your project to Tiffany, tiffany@scraptiffany.com
Have a great day!
P.S. It's my husband's birthday today, 52 years old!! How fitting that this post goes live today :)
Happy Birthday honey, I love you!

For my project I created a tag ornament for my Christmas Tree. I started with a chipboard tag found in the dollar bin at Michael's and some of the papers and embellishments found in my December kit from Little Red Scrapbook.
Once I finished attaching everything where I wanted it to go, I sealed it with Mod Podge Sparkle. You can't tell in these pictures but the lights on the tree really dance on the glitter. I hope that you and yours have Happy Holidays and a Wonderful New Year. I am so thankful for all of you and am so happy that you joined us for the Papercraft Star Tags of Christmas Blog Hop. Your next stop on the hop is my amazing, partner in crime, Beth!

My Digital Studio by Stampin Up
I recently purchased the My Digital Studio software from Stampin Up. I have been playing with it today while little Will has been napping. I have learned a few things today while messing around with it.
1. It is very easy to use.
2. Save your work as you go, sucks when your computer freaks out an hour into something and you loose your whole project and have to start over. (uummm...yeah it happened)
3. Digital is fun, but I don't think I will ever become a total convert.
Here is the layout that I did today,

Here is the layout that I did today,
I know it's not perfect, I have some things to learn about shadowing and lining things up correctly but all in all I'm pretty darn happy with it. Besides, you can't go wrong with a handsome little man like Will.
I do have a question that maybe one of you can answer....can you buy digital kits from other companies and use them with this program?
If you have any tips or advice, I would love to hear it!
I hope you are having a great day :)

Think Pink
The challenge at ScrapTiffany this week is Girl Power!!
When I think "Girl Power", pink comes to mind. I have been wanting to scrap this cute puppy picture of Piper for so long. How cute is she!?! Oh my, she is the best little dog, so smart and so sweet!! I came up with the design of this layout by combining a sketch from PageMaps1 (which is only loosely followed) and a tip from Audrey Pettit. Audrey had a layout on her blog a week or so ago where she explained that she likes to make an 8 1/2 x 11 layout and attach it to a 12x12, so that's what I tried. I just love how this layout came together, thanks Audrey!
What comes to you mind when you think "Girl Power"? Head on over to ScrapTiffany and see what the other designers did. You can submit your project to Tiffany by email. tiffany@scraptiffany.com
Have a wonderful day!

Papercraft Star Challenge 24
Papercraft Star Challenge 24
"Green Holiday"Create an altered holiday gift, card or scrapbook layout using recycled or repurposed items you already have on hand.
I can do that!
This card could not have come together more easily. Before I sat down to do some crafting I had to do a major cleaning job in my craft room, it looked like a bomb had gone off in there! Cleaning my room gave me quite a few peeks at what I had lying around. When I thought about what I could recycle or reuse I knew I wanted to use some scraps from my new Echo Park Wintertime paper pack, and then it hit me. You know the decorative cover sheet they include in the paper packs so you can see what patterns are inside? Well, why not cut that up and use it? That's exactly what I did. Add that with a few of the element stickers, a couple of snowflakes left over from last year and some faux stitching and you've got yourself a cute winter card. The best part, my paper pack was packaged with 2 of those cover sheets in error and now I can make another card to match, lucky me!
Why don't you join me for this fun and easy challenge at Papercraft Star! You have until Noon (eastern) on Saturday to get your project linked up before the voting begins. And, take a look at what you could win!
The first place winner will receive this adorable Gingerbread Man Kit from our sponsor the Purple Pumkin.
Supplies:
Cardstock - Kraft (Stampin Up)
Pattern Paper - Wintertime (Echo Park)
Stickers - Wintertime Element Stickers (Echo Park)
White Pen - Signo Broad (Uni-Ball)
Adhesive - ATG (Scotch) Zots (Therm O Web)

Stampin Up Club Cards
I just had to share the cards we made at my Stampin Up club meeting. I just adore both of these cards!!
I just love that pink card, isn't that awning just adorable! And the Thank you card is just beautiful.
I even bought the stamp set so I can make more of the "sweets shop" card.
I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!
I'll be back Friday with another card, see ya then!

Handmade Flowers
This week it's all about Handmade Flowers at ScrapTiffany. I love making flowers!! The first flowers I ever made were by following a tutorial by the amazingly talented Tracy. I caught the flower bug and haven't looked back. I have tried lots of different techniques and I have loved them all. The best part about making your own flowers is that it doesn't have to be complicated to look fantastic.
For these flowers I used the Peony die by Spellbinders, the swiss dots Cuttlebug embossing folder, Distress Ink in Barn Door and Weathered Wood, some basic grid paper (the kind my son uses for math), tiny brads, a little water, and Mod Podge Sparkle. They are very glossy and sparkly, the mod podge sparkle almost makes it look like you used UTE on them.
If you have never made your own flowers, you should really give it a try. I think they are better than anything that can be purchased in the stores and much cheaper too.
Be sure to head on over to ScrapTiffany and see what kinds of flowers the other designers made.
I hope you have a fabulous day!

Lots of cute and blah blah blah
I just had to share an adorable picture taken of my daughter and little Will. Aren't they just adorable?
I had not seen Will in a little over a week and I sure was missing him. Amazing how much they can change in that short amount of time. I've been watching him for about 3 months now and he is just such a joy.
Life around here has been a little nuts for me, but I do see a light at the end of the tunnel! I finally got off my butt and started exercising (again) this week and I am heading back to Weight Watchers on Saturday. I hear there have been lots of changes since I was last there (like 6 months ago..ssshhhh). I also get to have a crafting weekend this Sat and Sun and I hope to get lots and lots of projects completed. I have been so busy that I have only been able to keep up with my design team assignments and have not been able to enter any challenges for myself. I miss doing challenges!
I hope you all have a fun weekend ahead of you and will come back next week and see what I whipped up over the weekend.
